Heritage Tour to the Kingdom of Majapahit


Majapahit was a vast archipelagic empire based on the island of Java from 1293 to around 1500. Majapahit reached its peak of glory during the era of Hayam Wuruk, whose reign from 1350 to 1389 marked by conquest which extended through Southeast Asia.
His achievement is also credited to his prime minister, Gajah Mada. According to the Nagarakretagama written in 1365, Majapahit was an empire of 98 tributaries, stretching from Sumatra to New Guinea; consist of present day Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, southern Thailand, the Philippines, and East Timor. Trowulan Archaeological Museum

Trowulan Archaeological Museum was founded by Kanjeng Adipati Ario Kromojoyo Adinegoro with Ir. Henry Maclaine Pont in 1942 with the aim of the research results of archaeological artifacts accommodate around Trowulan.
Most of the museum's collection comes from the Majapahit kingdom, but the collection also includes various eras of history in East Java, as the kingdom Kahuripan, Kediri, and Singhasari. The museum is located on the western edge of the pond Segaran.

Trowulan Museum is a museum which has a collection of relics from the most comprehensive Majapahit in Indonesia.
Currently, the museum is also known as the Hall Rescuer statue has a collection of various findings in the area of ​​East Java. To facilitate visitors, the objects of this collection has been completed with a brief description in two languages, Indonesian and English.

Museum space is divided into two parts:
1. Exhibition space, used to exhibit small artefacts reatif size, eg currency, weapons, inscriptions, musical instruments and household appliances,
2. Pavilion, used as a place to show off artifacts relative size and weight are still like statues, reliefs, kala, yoni and others.
